Title
[D8828AAV], Letter from Charles F Hanington to Alfred Ord Tate, March 10th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"I arrived here yesterday and leave in 15 minutes for Rio. This letter of Thiago's explains itself. I send the samples with it addressed to you at 40 Wall St. If Mr. Edison should wish a larger sample (I have not the time to even open the parcel) you can offer this man quite a low figure to get what you may wish. [7 lines struck through] His address is: "Thiago Collares. Ponta de Pedras. Marajo. Para. Brazil. Please let me know as soon as you have news of Mac. Tell Insull that Don Carlos Montero e Souza was delighted to received his letter and the paper. In haste." Sincerely Yours Hanington [Marginalia: "Please save this for me"]
