- Editor's Notes
- "Our S.S. Jerome from [unclear] Brazil brought 35 bundles of the Assain Palm. This I believe is intended for you. It is however cosigned to order and has gone in store at Martin + Day Brooklyn. Being an old friend and the companion of Mr. Jas Ricalton on his first trip to Brazil + also knowing the purposes of his present trip to the East, I have felt quite certain that this consignment is yours. On behalf of the company I would like to know what I disposal you propose making of the goods, as the freight is still unpaid + we are unable to close accounts. ### I have place my self at Mr. Ricalton's disposal in regard to receiving + forwarding any packages for him."
