Title
[D8832AAI], Letter from Henry Villard to Thomas Alva Edison, October 1st, 1888
Editor's Notes
"In view of the frcition that seems to arise in connection with the examination of the status of the manufacturing Companies through Mr. McClement, I would kindly suggest that Mr. John Dougherty, an expert accountant, well known to me and to Mr. Coster as fully competent should be put on the work. ### I am going west tomorrow morning, and shall not be hwere when your answer to this is received. I hope it will be in the affirmative, when Mr. Spofford will arrange with Mr, Dougherty. I desire to have the investigation as nearly as possible finished by my return."
