- "Mr. Villard deems it very desirable that the new Electric Company should be incorporated as soon as possible, and asks that you will kindly consent to be one of the incorporaters. This involves no responsibiility on your part. The other incorporators are Messrs. Francis R. Upton, Samuel Insull, Charles Batchelor and E.H. Johnson, - and each of these gentlemen has been requested to be present at noon on Wednesday next, January 2, at the law offices of Messrs. Wheeler, Curtis & Godkin, 45 William Street, for the purpose of signing the articles of incorporation. Will you please also be present at the time and place stated, and greatly oblige Mr, Villard?"
