Title
[D8836AAN], Letter from William Preston Hix to Thomas Alva Edison, May 12th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"I enclose two more letters. Please have them answered. ### In collecting information to lay before these people, I find there are 26 plants in St. Louis capacity of 12,765 Lamps- out of this amount I sold before I left here, 3 years ago. 19 plants capacity 10,575 lamps and the other agents that have succeeded me have sold 7 plants capacity 2250 lamps. And the system was not known when I came I had all the missionary work to do and yet McQuesten and others tell you that I am good on large contracts but not on small. This is only one town in the territory that I handled for two years. Figures are stubborn things." Yours, Hix [Marginalia: "File Ore milling" "File"]
