"We have communicated to our Council of Administration your letter of 10th Feby, through which Messr Drexel Morgan & Co answer our letter of 13th Jany. Please inform them that it is impossible for us--at present at least and considering the competition--to accept their claims for business to be transacted in Portugal. We can consent to pay them a royalty of 5% on our electrical material, patented or not patented, but not on the total installation." Signed [unclear] Edison, E. Martin, Director.
