Title

[D8845ACQ], Letter from C H Pattison to Thomas Alva Edison, August 8th, 1888

Editor's Notes

"I noticed several days ago in an account of Mr. Edison's many inventions that he had invented a process of separating or reducing ore by electricity and was greatly interested because my father and I have had the theory worked out for some 7 or 8 years, but have never made a practical test of the matter, am glad you have made a success of the theory, it will no doubt revolutionize the mining and smelting industries. As soon as you are ready to establish any plants we would like to take charge of one at some point in Colorado we have had considerable experience holding positions of assay, superintendent of stamp mill, formerly territorial assayer and mineralogist. If you have any vacancy in that Dept. of your works I would be pleased to accept it, so as to be throughly conversant with your system of separation. Have had some experience as machinist."
