- [D8845AEJ], Letter from John Birkinbine to Thomas Alva Edison, October 13th, 1888
- Editor's Notes
- "I was in New York yesterday with the intention of visiting the laboratory, but learning that a test was to be made of magnetic concentration by the Wenstrom [Swedish] apparatus I visited Riotte's works and was detained until after 4.P.M. when I considered it too late to be of any service at Orange. I will report to you the operation and analyses of results of the Wenstrom separator and also of the Buchanan separator at the Croton mines. ### Mr. John D. Cheever wishes to visit the Laboratory with me and I will arrange to bring him out." Yours truly, Jno. Birkinbine
