- Editor's Notes
- "I beg to confirm my recent letter regarding this subject, and should like you to write me at once with specific instructions as to the extent I shall with me, in view of my relations with you, that it would look rather strange if he had to draw upon you. I am quite agreeable to your wishes in the matter, but I should like to have your authority and definite instructions as to what extent I am to advance funds to Mr. Wiley. ### I am making good arrangements with the Crystal Palace Company for the exhibtion of the machinery; to be shown I think to the best advantage. This I have done in consequence of my personal influence with the Directors of the Crystal Palace Company, without any cost whatever, other than putting up the mere erections of the plant, and its maintenance. Mr. Dredge quite concurs in all I have done." Yours sincerely, G.E. Gouraud
