- Editor's Notes
- "I return your letter of the 8th inst. With the years marked opposite the countries as requested by you. You will notice that the countries which do not come within Col. Gouraud's instructions are Mexico, Denmark, and Russia, in which countries no patents are granted for terms as long as fourteen years. In the Argentine Republic, Portugal, probably Austria, Spain, Turkey and Italy patents can be obtained for a less term than fourteen years and would be unless Col. Gouraud followed the instructions strictly. I have written our European agents in accordance with Mr. Edison's request to ascertain the terms of the patents Col. Gouraud has taken in Austria, Italy, Denmark, Russia and Portugal." Yours truly, Rich N. Dyer
