- Title
- [D8846ACR], Letter from Henry W Seely to Alfred Ord Tate, December 13th, 1888
- Editor's Notes
- Based on powers of attorney requested by Gouraud, infer that he intends to apply for patents in long list of named countries. Separate list of those countries granting patents for 15 years, where there's no objection to his taking patents before those in U.S. Separate lists of countries having different terms, with various qualifications/hazards to U.S. pats. Austria is an ambiguous case not yet settled by court decisions here. Tell Gouraud to send me full info about foreign patents he's taken or applied for, as it's possible that some of your recently-issued patents will be limited to 5 years by Portugese or Russian patents he's obtained. Get TAE to sign powers of atty for Case 88. Enclosing last letter received from Gouraud; pls return it.
