Title

[D8847AAE], Letter from Cupples and Hurd to Thomas Alva Edison, May 16th, 1888

Editor's Notes

"In conversation with Mr. G.P. Lathrop whom we met on the train from Boston to New York the other day, we were led to infer that as publishers we might be able to enter into some arrangement with you for the sale of your Phonograph, or rather the use of it as applied to books for the blind and other allied subjects. ### We write this simply as an inquiry. Mr. Lathrop said that he would see you personally about the matter. ### Will you kindly let us know your views?" [TAE marginalia: "Write that I am working on the subject. E."
