Title
[D8847ABA], Letter from Pacific Phonograph Co, Louis Glass to Alfred Ord Tate, June 19th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"[Unclear] has been writing Gilliland ever since the exhibition at the Electric Club and although he promises to forward us a phonograph as soon as they are completed he does not give us many detailed information nor state when it is probably we will receive one. ### I know he is very very busy and have no doubt you are more so, but for Gods sake drop me a line, giving us information which will enable us to lie to our constituents a little more intelligently than we are now doing. ### Tell Mr. Edison the Major has just placed the Edison Mine in England--at least the parties have put up the preliminary money for a test and will undoubtedly take the property--He (Maj) will make a good haul and I do not get altogether left. I made the report [unclear] and it could scarcely have failed. Remember me kindly to Mr. Bachelor Ott Hamilton and do be kind enough to briefly answer my inquiries." Yours etc. Louis Glass 323 Pine St. S.F. [Marginalia: "Ans June 28/88"]
