Title
[D8847ABK], Letter from H J Hill, Exhibition. Toronto Industrial (1888) to Alfred Ord Tate, July 31st, 1888
Editor's Notes
"I see that Mr. Edison has consented to exhibit his new Perfected Phonograph at the next Fair to be held at Buffalo in September. Our Exhibition follows immediately on the Buffalo Fair, and I wrote to ask if you could kindly obtain Mr. Edison's consent to the Phonograph being forwarded for our Exhibition at Toronto on the close of the Buffalo Fair. Mr. Robinson, Manager of the Buffalo Fair, has advised me to write to you and make this request. He will see that it is forwarded on here, if you assent to the proposition, or the person having it in charge to be sent on here. I believe if Mr. Edison were spoken to on the subject he would readily grant us this request. Your early reply will be esteemed a favor. If there are any expenses in the matter, we shall be glad to meet you in that direction, if necessary."
