- "To show my impartiarility in this matter--I last night gave to Cheever a proxy to vote on 1067 shares. Which stand is my name but which belonged to the late HL Roosevelt UH held that here was an understanding that these shares should remain in my name for voting purposes until the old Co. was reorganized. But I don't remember any such agreement so I gave the proxy--for which I will of course be called to a/c by UH.
