Title
[D8848ACP], Letter from Ezra Torrance Gilliland to Thomas Alva Edison, July 9th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"Lippincott wrote me from his summer home in Penna., requesting me to meet him today and on calling at his office I found that they had just received a letter from him, saying that his son was sick with malignant diptheria and that he would probably not reach here until Wednesday next. Lippincott has written to Mr. Evans, his business manager, to get from you as soon as possible the model Phonograph which is to be put with the Graphophone and to constitute the exhibits in the contracts. I mention this so that you may hurry it along. It is in our interest that this should be done as soon as possible." Yours very truly, E.T. Gilliland [Marginalia: "See other letter"]
