- Editor's Notes
- "I am not prepared today to make the first of September payment on account of the purchase of Phonograph stock. No money has been received by me as yet from the suborganization and on account of what Mr. Johnson told a banker a few days ago, I suspended operations in the matter of the promotion of the stock of the Company until our differences are arranged and I can go before the public without fear of opposition in that quarter. I expect to be able to make you a payment next week before the ten days expire, but if you have not actual use for the money before the 26th Sept I would consider it a great favor if you would extend the time on a portion of it until that date, as I will have a large amount of money coming in on the 25th which must and will be paid me on that day. If you have anything pressing you whereby the Mon receipt of the whole amount would inconvenience you I will make pesonal sacrifices so as to bring it in. Please let me hera from you by return mail."
