Title
[D8849AAD], Letter from Samuel Insull to Thomas Alva Edison, February 18th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"I enclose you herewith letter and card of Mr. Adolphe Salmon. You will see that he wants to buy a Phonograph at the request of Col. Laussedat, Directuer of the Arts and [unclear] of Paris. I think this is a case where you could well afford to send a Phonograph as a present to the schools of Art and [unclear]. ### Col. Laussedat, you will remember is the old gentleman who could not tal English but who could write it with great facility. ### I have written Mr. Salmon stating that you dealt with the phonograph business yourself, and have informed him that I have sent his letter to you and that you will doubtless reply to him in the course of a day or two." Very truly yours, Sam Insull [Marginalia: "Tell Insull to write + say that I will have French agent present the Conservation of a + m with one free as soon as we get a supply."]
