- "I returned here last Friday, and have learned from Mr. Fox the state of affiars in re Phonograph. ### Mr. Fox informed me that he would telegraph me when to meet him in order to pay you a visit. But I have learned nothing from him since Monday last. ### In the meantime left me urge you to forward the [unclear] without delay a reply of the American patents legalized before the Mexican Consul, it is necessary in order to obtain your patent in Mexico. Col. Gouraud's patent attorney [unclear] me that he and applied to Col. Gouraud long ago for such copy and that until it is remind us further steps can be taken. ### The paper can be sent to Senor Don Luis Mendez, Calle de las Damas, Mexico. I will be glad to call on you whenever it may be convenient."
