- Editor's Notes
- "On Oct 1st we set up the Chromic acid battery at Phila, on account of being delayed at Harrisburg by Mr Kiefer not being ready for me to place the instruments it was not put into service until Thursday afternoon Oct 4th. It lasted and did good service until Oct 14th. Several times the circuit breaker was left open by the Oprs for how long cannot be said. ### I put the life of it down to about two weeks. ### The Zincs did not show any wear and the carbons were as bright as new ones. The [unclear] was very much better than a new Bunsen and when we renewed it the sound was as good as a two days old Bunsen I renewed it to turn it over in good shape." Yours very truly, W.S. Logue
