- Editor's Notes
- "In reply to yours of the 18th inst. We would say that we had expected to receive the Ansolute Electrometer before this. You will remember that this has to be brought over with special care, as ordinary ship carriage ruins it. White therefore told us he would send it by one of his friends who are ship-captains on the line between Glasgow and this city, but he has not done so yet. We may get it any day, and have reminded him of it lately. ### As regards the order for Latimer Cask, Muirhead & Co. you will remember that they wrote that they could not furnish the Ohmmeter not the permament magnet or shield instruments, but were willing to make the others if you could want. We suppose they are making these; our experience with them is that considerable patience is required. We shall certainly do all in our power to furnish all your order promptly, and remain" Very Respectuflly James W. Queen & Co., per H over "P.S. The Edelmann Apparatus has not passed the Custom-house, but we trust to have it soon. We should be glad if you would send us a check." [Marginalia: "Mr. Kennelly Please note and return A.O.Tate Jan 20/88" "Noted A.E.Kennelly 20.1.88"]
