Title
[D8856ADD], Letter from Queen (James W.) & Co to Thomas Alva Edison, August 18th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"We wrote to the Societe Genevoise in regard to the Hydraulic Press which you said would not stand the pressure: They reply that they cannot understand this, as they tested this cylinder themselves nt over 300 atmospheres and it supported the pressure perfectly. But they say in order to give you satisfaction they will make and send a new cylinder of wrought iron but that in order to make this they will have to ask you to send the exact dimensions, interior and exterior of the cylinder which is broken. ### On receipt of this we will forward it to the Societe at once." Very truly, James W. Queen & Co. per H ### Mr. Kennelly [2 diagrams hand-drawn below letterhead;
