- Title
- [D8905AAL], Letter from Schuyler Skaats Wheeler to Thomas Alva Edison, January 18th, 1889
- Editor's Notes
- Summary: Wheeler received Edisons letters and sent one to Prof Trowbridge and asked him to send all information to Edison at once. He should like to get a scholarship for Electrical Engineering of between 3 and 500 dollars a year, to do as well as Prf Tyndall did with the proceeds of his lectures. He wants Prof. Trowbridge or Pres Drisler to receive a letter from Edison stating that he WILL found the Edison Scholarship though all the money at once is not necessary. Determining the test of excellence for the students is quite important and the faculty will be glad for Edison to lay down the most important qualifications.
