- Dear Sir: Some literary friends of mine who take great interest in your phonograph, and wish to propose an illustrated article for one of the leading periodicals, have desired me to ask you for an appointment at your earliest convenience, when you may be seen for a short time at last in person-- I send you by mail the article by myself which appeared in the Smithsonian last summer for your scrap book, as you instructed, also copies of the Chinese song, also Lady Pickering Mulberries which has been transmitted by your Phonograph several times-- Please hand our copy to Mr. Wangemann with my regards-- Truly Yours Edgar S.
