Title
[D8905ABO], Letter from William Augustus Croffut to Thomas Alva Edison, February 21st, 1889
Editor's Notes
Dear Mr. Edison:-- President Harrison is greatly inclined to appoint men for fitness, I am told, & it is believed that, if the case is properly presented to him, he will appoint a Comr. Of Patents who knows something about Patents. A concerted movement is being made to that end, &, as I believe you to be in favor of such a new departure, I enclose a form for you to paste upon a sheet of paper & sign if you will Return it to me? Very truly yours, W. A Croffut [ans Feb 4/89]
