- Editor's Notes
- Sept 23rd 1889 Dear Sir, Having often heard of you from my Son Aruthur, I have long hoped for the pleasure of being introduced to you, but having heard from Mr. Hammer that you were going to Germany from Paris, & did not expect to be able to visit England (otherwise he would give me a letter of introduction) I had given up that hope but finding you are in this Country, I send these few linesto say how glad I shall be to have an opportunity of seeing you anywhere convenient to you, if it be possible. The favor of a line in reply will much oblige. Yours truly, J.E Beves P.S-- I expect to be in Paris on Thursday or Friday next.
