[Enclosure to D8905AJI] Sold to William J. Hammer Esquire Rept of Thomas A. Edison Esquire the marble statue exhibited at the Universal Exhibition of Paris 1889 in the station section fine arts dept N 298 of our Catalogue "The Genie de l' Electricite" by Signore A. Bordiga of Rome for the Price of Fr. 8500. Eight thousand five hundred Francs. The statue & pedestal to be delivered free of all expense to Havre & will be sent through my forwarding agents Messrs. Michell & Kimbel. Place du Manile S. Floure Paris. Undersigned Representative of Signor A. Bordiga= officially charged by the Italian Com'tee declares herewith with thanks to have received to day the 26th of November 1889 from said William J. Hammer Esqiure the sum of Frs. 8500. Eight thousand five hundred Francs in total payment of this sale. Paid on the 4th December 1889 in London with [pound sign] 340 Three hundred & forty Pounds.
