[enclosed with D8907ABW] Prior to Mr. Edison's departure for Europe (through the introduction of Mr. Miller of akron, Oh.) we had some correspondence with Mr. Edison re: his contribuing an article to the Cyclopaedia in the compilation of which we are now engaged. To this we duly recd Mr. Edison's declination which we regretted. ## We write at this time on another matter, namely, we request you to furnish us with a list of the various articles, machines, apparatus, tools & c. invented or manufactured by Mr. Edison. Please give us the techical trade names of each. ## We propose inserting same under proper headings in Section I of the Cyclopaedia without cost to you. ## Please give this early attention as we are beginning to print the work.
