- Title
- [D8907ACM], Letter from Electrical Age, John Bartholomew Taltavall to Alfred Ord Tate, November 6th, 1889
- Editor's Notes
- We spared no pains or expense in placing the papers containing the “write up” of the phonoplex system where they would do you the most good. We turned the pages down and marked the article with blue and red pencil and printed across the wrappers “marked copy” Where the president of a road was a figurehead, we addressed the paper to the General Manager or gen'l supt. We were particular to select those only who were the operators of the railroads. We covered Canada and Mexico, reaching every railroad in those countries and well as those in the United States.
