- Editor's Notes
- I am gratified but was surprised at your prompt denial of the newspaper caused concerning your alleged membership in the "Aryan" Theosophical Society. # Knowing as [-----] knows who represent that iniquitous affair I was [------] it was an attempt to advertise themselves at your expense. # It may not seem worth your while to notice it. Yet if a stranger may in friendship offer a suggestion, let me say, that it may hereafter save you much annoyance, or even some injury, to meet the coward with prompt denial. I enclose a few newspaper clips to show you how wide the thug has been circulated. # Having the pleasure of Prof Crookes' personal acquaintance, I am satisfied that the use of his name in the same correction is a like impudence.
