- Editor's Notes
- [from Birrmingham, England] In a recent lecture delivered at the Masonic Hall in this city by Col. Olcott President of the Theosophical Society he mentioned in reply to a question that you were a member of the Society. Being very interested in the work of the Society -- inasmuch as I hold with the acquisition small knowledge tending to know a light [-----] on the earlier history of the race or [---] those recondite paths of science too long ignored by our Western scientists -- I am anxious to learn whether you are indeed a supporter of the Theosophical Society. If you are, may I trespass on your kindness to confirm the statement of Col. Olcott which if here question to dispel any doubts which I had respecting the genuine character of the movement.
