- I write to inform you of the fact that I have just left the Manhattan Eye & Ear Hospital, where I had an operation performed upon my eyes. Upon reaching Brooklyn I received your kind communication of Oct 29th your kind notice and noble response has filled me with gratitute towards you and will enable me to fight the wolf of poverty until I regain my sight; and the doctors feel confident that they can save my eye. so as to be convenient to the Hospital I have changed my residence....## Thanking you from the bottom of my heard for your charity toward me.
