- [from Chicago] Cover sheet: Will Mrs. Edison kindly give the enclosed letter to Mr. Edison. I desire to write you one more letter relative to my European trip - I am fully aware I made a great mistake and am constantly reminded of it. I am out here now and have a fair position on this read but my house and family are in Orange. I have always been interested in Experimental Work and if you looked even my record that you would see I had some original ideas. ([-]) you consistently give me some kind of a place there again and let me begin a new. I would devote my whole attention to it whatever it may be and I am sure you will not regret it. I send this letter to your house so you may receive it when you will have time to read it. I am experimenting here on Electric Light on the trains - have 4 sleepers three coaches and two mail baggage cars equipped…[continues]"
