- Editor's Notes
- In receipt of yours of the 28th ultimo. I note that the manufacture of the phonograph is a matter directly connected with the North American Phonograph Co. Could you have the matter referred to them or give me a letter that I may give them upon my arrival in NY next week? # I have the competent workmen to build the machines and have been repeatedly asked about the agency and manufacture of the phonograph in Canada. I fear somebody will step in and get this "plum." # One party in particular here stated to me that there would be little or no difficulty in getting capital for a Canadian Co and there would be a large demand for the phonograph after its manufacture. # Light work at the shop is a little slack at present and I would like to keep several men that are there, but will have to lay them off if I cannot make some outside arrangements. Please let me hear back from you before the end of the present week in regard to the North American Phonograph Co.
