Title

[D8920AAP], Letter from Samuel Insull to Alfred Ord Tate, June 17th, 1889

Editor's Notes

"Thanks for your letter of June 14th. It is a very peculiar thing that Prof. Marks wrote the letter in question after he had heard a discussion at which it was stated that Mr. Edison was not only willing but anxious that something should be done as to an arc light as well as to an alternating system. It is one of those cases where a man tries to get glory for a suggestion many months after the man who makes the original suggestion and has fully discussed the subject with his assistants."
