- [Enclosure of D8933AAS] Superintendent Lathrop directs me to say that he and Dr. MacDonald, Warden Brush and myself will be at Gilsey House New York, Wednesday morning, the 27th inst, to meet you as agreed in his conversation with you yesterday.##He will esteem it a favor if you will notify such other parties as you deem it advisable for him to see. It is his present intention to spend Wednesday and Thursday in looking into the matter of machinery and appliances for executing criminals by electricity. After having informed himseff fully he desires to make a contract for the furnishing of these appliancs with the guarantee on the part of the party who firnishes that the plant shall perfectly perfrom its work. Will you kindly inform me here where and at what hour Wednesday mornign we can mee you.
