Editor's Notes
Edison Electric Light Co.####A.E Kennelly, Esq., Care Edison Laboratory, Orange N.J,####Dear Sir:--####I have read your report on meter experiments with the deepest interest; there are many points upon whih I think we ought to have a most careful discussion.####At the Convention the point was made that it is now of the greatest importance to the stations to have a meter which will show the total current output. The ampers indicators do not in all respects fill the bill, and I am told by station managers that they do not check with the meters of the dynamos. Moreover, as such a meter is an indicator merely and does not register, it requires many observations during the twenty-four hours to get the average of the energy expended.####Please give me a little more clearly your idea of the conenctions of the silver meter which you propose, and whether you think it possible to connect such a meter without introducing a very large and expensive resistance.####Yours very truly, W.J Jenks, Director####[name mentions:W.J Jenks, Arthur Kennelly, Association of Edison Illuminating Cos, Edison Electric Light Co]
