The Chicago Edison Cco, 138-141 Adams Street####Chicago Mch 24, 1889####My dear Edison####Should Villard fail to carry out his plan would it not be well for the Shops & Light Co to be under one management? We did business before this scheme was thought of [the task?] & delays in this matter has hurt business I think as it unsettled matters. I would like to see a general combination ---- -------- -----, as the [cutting?] -- lamps alone is a S----- a young & Isolated work has been given away for yours.####Have [friendly?] suits & decide the patents at small cost. I have as example the Ball & Edison & Gray telephone Combine & make some money.####Light C shops consume ---- a fair capital as only issue the fiar amount leave art the ---- ----- ---- taken in 700 ---- lights so far this month. ---- -- & contracted render construction about 13000####Yours truly, F.S.
