Philadelphia, May 27, 1889####My dear Sir,####After Mr. Insull's ---- last & this ----- ex--- of all my [deficiencies?] today it [is?] impossible that I should say anything to avail in [defence of?]--yet after thirteen years of [peaceful?] life in this City I hope to live in the softest harmony with all my associations--[stopping?] the [lascivious side?] of this I have given careful thought to your notes and to the proper [author of mr. Edisons of the journal co?] and I would not [the rest of this letter is extremely hard to read]
