- Editor's Notes
- St. Louis, Feb 27 1889####My dear Sir:####Has any thing new turned up in the east.####Business here is getting very dull indeed. I am afraid the Odd Fellows Hall people will decide not to put in an isolated plant, but connect to the Westinghouse Central Station. The City bids will open tomorrow, and as a consequence all the Electric people are here. [Pantitioum?] says positively that his people will not bid or have not. [Inserted: I do not believe this. Hix].There is, I am inclined to think, dissension among them as the business does not look so very as it once did. I suppose you know in the very a----tion of the U.S Office in Chicago that G.C. ----- was laid on the shelf, and is now with the Thomson & Huston Company. Shain has him plead in the Cinncinati office with Tennessee, Ohio & Virginia to work at. One has H.W. Fairbanks [Tasis nu Warreurs mace?]. So the world ---- and it seems the alternating current wins the day.####Then [Y.F. Parteris?] at last a father the near addition among this a M in the state of a young son.####[Rehardo Dull?]####[yours -----]####Reece--Look at the 6 month -----]####[name mentions: Thomson & Huston Company, [H.W Fairbanks?], E.H Johnson, William Preston Hix, A.H Reece, Westinghouse Electric Co.]
