- Referring to your letter in regard to the Paris Exhibition, think you are fortunate in your choice of a representative, whose efficiency was demonstrated in connection with the Crystal Palace Exhibition. Expect that in regard to the phonograph, he wil take no initiative in Paris without consulting me, and presume that this will accord with your own views. President of Electric Light Co. Paris has written several letters and seen me to determine the placing of the phonograph but of course the Edison Exhibition that you will make is where it should find its natural home. # Marginalia says answered 1/17/89
