Title
[D8947AAD], Letter from William E Hibble to Thomas Alva Edison, January 12th, 1889
Editor's Notes
Received a letter from Gilliland stating that the business relation existing between yourself and him had ceased and he wished a report. My intstructions were to address my communications to him, which I had done understanding that he was your business agent. This is the reason I have not written you personally is that I did not want to be a tresspasser on your time. The division was not fully explained to me until now but I kept the accounts so they can be readily adjusted if proportions are not correct. He says he sent you a copy but I wanted to explain that I kept an exact account of the houses separate but not of the general work on the grounds. I have charged all that to the laboratory but if this is not correct I can divide exactly. I should be glad if you sent me $100 as the state and county taxes are due. Please send any instructions or corrections you have. # Marginalia says answered 1/31/89
