- Editor's Notes
- [Add name mention: Robert Cranford] We are trying to establish a government experiment station at Fort Myers. Citizens were required to furnish 40 acres of ground well fenced and to put up a house and barn according to specifications. We have secured the land and lack about $500 to put the other improvements under contract. Knowing you to be a public spirited man, I thought you would help us in this enterprise. If you can, remit to Robert Cranford, U. A. Parker, and D. C. Kantz. Bartow is the next choice for the station if For Myers does not comply with her promise.
