Title
[D8947AAV], Letter from William E Hibble to Thomas Alva Edison, July 16th, 1889
Editor's Notes
Enclosed please find bill of Simmons & Evans since March 9, 1888. It was sent to Mr. Gilliland last January. He returned it to me with request to separate such goods as were used for his benefit exclusively. I replied that I considered the whole bill come under the one-third rule and that his part was $25.14. He consented to this arrangement up to the end of the year but he has not yet sent the money down. Shall I charge it to him or will you settle it? Referring to your favor of Jan 31, you corrected me that Gilliland is to be charged one half of wharf repairs instead of one third. I will follow this instruction. # Marginalia says answered 7/22/89
