Editor's Notes
I regret that I was unable to see you yesterday but think that Mr. Tate will explain the suggestions I made about the paper. Had I not expected to confer with you personally I would have written off a description of the apparatus now at the Laboratory. I trust that you will feel free to criticise the paper in any way, its object is to discuss magnetic concentration and your concertor I suggested to Mr. Tate that if you thought it advisable I would like to have you write up the operation of the different machines from the standpoint of an electrician either as a separate paper or that it be embodied in this paper of which we could take the authorship jointly as you prefer. I am very sorry to learn your in the ore milling department is interfered with by the illness of Mr. Dickson if my presence in orange will be of any assitance to you in arranging a programme for the 20th, or in looking after any details I can arrange to cover over any day but tomorrow, and will be gratified to be of service.
