- Editor's Notes
- Since ten days ago I observed in the leading journals of Philadelphia the announcement of a new invention by you relative to the extraction of metal from the original ore. I forward to you a sepeciment of the ore as extracted by a machine caveated by me some six years ago. I assume that your invention rests aipaw the same principle and that a comparison of the machines may lead to valuable improvements. Poverty prevented me from justifying my claims for a full patent and the same cause at that time compelled me to drop further labor on the machine. The specimen I send you was extractable from our Taheu from the "Stricklauser" Mine supplied to nature and very easy to crush if not by hear by what processed you dispose of the Sulphur in our case could Electricity be be cased as a heating agent in place of coal gas. I don't understand this matter but it seen to me if could be so used to an advantage. What will the mill cost to beat say 200 tons per 24 hours an answer will much oblige P.S. Any information you can give consistantly will be thankfully received.CCS
