- Editor's Notes
- [Add name mention: Eliada Blakesley Mallory] You will please sent me draft for one thousand dollars in payment of 5% assessment on stock of E.I.C. Co: - I find on investigation that the [---] of Ill. are very favorable to stock companies that stock holders are liable for amount of stock subscribed and taxes are on actual property and so would be light - also that they are considered more favorable than either Michigan or Wisconsin - so have decided to incorporate here - stock on subscribed will be as below - T. A. Edison $20,000; Lewis Miller $20,000; Ira M. Miller $20,000; E. B. Mallory $17,500; W. S. Mallory $37,500.
