Title
[D8952AAY], Letter from Dexter Reynolds to West Orange Laboratory, March 4th, 1889
Editor's Notes
"Will you please inform me as to your separator on the following points. I want to separate in Canda, magnetic iron sand, which is about 1/2 oxide of iron - at the rate of 32 cubic yards an hour - and I propose to use therefore 12 of your separators, 8 to receive the sand at the rate of 4 cubic yards per hour each - Each two to discharge thin separated sand into and then pass it again through one below. Can this be done and what power will be required to furnish the magnetism for the 12 machines - and will the sand thus twice separated be concentrated to 98 percent oxide of iron, or higher."
