- Editor's Notes
- Referring to your favor of 11th. Inst. We wrote your friends in regard to sending test lots of their ores and we are advised that they have shipped to you four kegs marked as follows. "No. 2 Soft Ore," "No. 2 Hard Ore" [circled by hand], No. 4 Soft" and "Stuart." These ores according to analyses furnished us are exceptionally low in Phosphorous, but are lean and it willl be necessary to concentrate them in some manner. There is a scarcity of water in the district and mangetic separation seems to be the only method. We will be greatly obliged to you if you will send up samples of the crude ore, concentrate and tailings from each sample and also estimates for plant as per ours of the 10th inst. Trusting that your test will prove satisfactory and that the samples will reach you safely we remain.
