- Yours of the 16th at hand; have sent Gouraud's proposition to the provost; it seems fair and should be acceptable; will let you know as soon as I hear##You mentioned you would loan me a phonograh to exhibit to my friends here; Prof. Remsen of Baltimore wants me to give a talk on the phonograph at the Club, Feb. 8; Mrs. Draper this month or next wants me to show the phonograph to a group of her friends at her house; we all want to show the phonograph to our friends before it becomes common and on the market everywhere##Salem[?] bill is all right; check received last spring; error made in crediting it; second bill is a mistake.
